In a strong and unique Egyptian challenge that reflects well on the Arab Republic of Egypt
The Egyptian mission in Addis Ababa was headed by Dr.
Egypt's Ambassador to Ethiopia, Obeida El-Dandrawi, held a grand ceremony in the main hall of the African Union headquarters in the heart of the Ethiopian capital to celebrate the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum. This event underscored Egypt's strength and presence on the African continent. Approximately 200 people attended, including ambassadors and representatives from over 50 diplomatic missions, most notably those of the United States, Russia, the European Union, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Japan, Yemen, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Jordan, Palestine, Ghana, Belgium, Uganda, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Eritrea, Sudan, Italy, and others. Commissioners and leaders of the African Union were also present, including the Deputy Chairperson of the Commission, Ambassador Salma El-Haddadi.
(Note that the president of the federation actually attended the opening ceremony in Egypt)
The number of countries represented at the Egyptian delegation's ceremony exceeded the limited number represented at the inauguration of the Ethiopian dam. This was noted by many observers and is considered conclusive proof of Egypt's strong position, the strength of its president, Mr. Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the strength of the Egyptian army, and the strength of the Egyptian people in Africa in general, and especially in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Great is Egypt!
