Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, left the Angolan capital, Luanda, a short while ago, returning to Cairo, after participating on behalf of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in the activities of both the G20 Summit for 2025, which was held in Johannesburg, South Africa, on November 22 and 23, and also after his participation in the activities of the seventh African Union-European Union Summit, which was hosted by the Angolan capital, Luanda, on November 24 and 25, in the presence of many African and European leaders and officials.

Egypt had been invited to participate, as a guest country, in this year’s G20 meetings, and the participating leaders discussed a number of challenges and opportunities during the summit, such as food security, debt and climate change, as well as strengthening partnerships between developing and developed countries.

It is worth noting that this is the first time that the African continent has hosted the G20 summit. The Prime Minister participated in the opening session of the summit, as well as in a number of sub-sessions. He also held meetings with a number of high-level African officials on the sidelines of the summit and met with a number of prominent businessmen in South Africa.

Following the conclusion of the G20 summit, the Prime Minister headed to Angola to participate, on behalf of His Excellency the President of the Republic, in the activities of the seventh African Union-European Union Summit. He participated in the opening session of the summit and delivered Egypt’s speech during the first plenary session, which was entitled “Peace, Security, Governance and Multilateralism.” The Prime Minister also held several bilateral meetings with a number of heads of state and government participating in the summit.
